Very interesting and nice story! I went to nursing school first and then went off to med school. However, I went back after four years of working as an RN. I decided prior to undergrad that I would go into nursing and get my feet wet and see if medicine was for me....

Humor when dealing with unpleaseant situations can make things easier, even though at times it can be hard. In the nursing industry, there are times when nurses need to deal with vomit, bodily fluids, and even cleaning people's bottoms. Overall, when they finish doing there job on one patient they say in the end, "This is why I went to Nursing School." A future nurse needs to be able to deal with situations that can be gross, gruesome, and just plain nasty. Somehow with laughter and humor, nurses can push through and possibly even enjoy doing their jobs with enthusiasm.
