Your letters of recommendation for your medical school application are a key element of your application packet. Don’t overlook them and don’t minimize the importance of getting some dyn-o-mite letters!

To up your chances of entering medical school you should give your recommender several weeks to write your letter. The resources required for them to hammer out a shining letter of recommendation are: having a favorable relationship with the professor(obviously), giving a one page summary of yourself to remind the proffessor of certain qualities and traits they may have forgotten, and provide specifics. With about 40 percent of all applicant to medical school being accepted each year, you will want to have your chances as high as possible.

In order to succeed in your Premedical studies, you must not falter in your studies. A way to keep your motivation up is to find a mentor, or an academic advisor. Most of all, never lose sight of your goal, a high GPA is needed to become a doctor, however GPA isn't all, you need to get your MCAT scores high enough to impress most medical schools.
