Why I Flip-Flopped on the Flipped Classroom

Why I Flip-Flopped on the Flipped Classroom | Tecnologia & Ensino | Scoop.it

As our classroom shifted from teacher- to student-centered, my students began to do the majority of their own research. Sometimes, this means they teach each other. Sometimes, they create a project around the knowledge they are acquiring. Sometimes, they create their own driving questions. Sometimes, they create their own units.

"A Web Interface Where Teachers Can See Detailed Information About The Progress Of Their Students In The Game

CGS research is focused around creating the best learning experience for students and providing the best support for teachers. Their current project looks at how they can make Treefrog Treasure dynamically adapt the progression of numberline concepts based on each student’s performance in the game. Here, the game looks at how the student did on past levels, and selects the next challenge so that it will maximize both learning and engagement. The goal is to dynamically create a personalized progression for every student."...

What Will It Take to Bring Mobile Ed to the Developing World? | MindShift

What Will It Take to Bring Mobile Ed to the Developing World? | MindShift | Tecnologia & Ensino | Scoop.it

In developing countries, where smartphones and dependable cellular networks are still scarce, it’s been difficult to gauge the real impact of the mobile education movement. But with the combination of different factors — the advent of new technology, decreased pricing for data, a worldwide lust for mobile education, and a persisting patience for smaller screens and lower connection speeds in nations where there is little alternative — the landscape in developing countries may be at a tipping point.
