Tracy Galvin's curator insight, April 26, 2014 12:52 PM

Just because the outward appearance of male-female relationships looks like a dominant-subservient type of relationship does not mean that in reality behind closed doors this continues to be true. Many times when the woman seems to have no rights she is in actuality the more informed decision maker in the family. She just does not need the recognition of that role. Allowing her husband to present himself as the macho decision maker in the family allows the relationship to flow smoothly and last many years.
