Does your nonprofit mission statement do its job? - Future Fundraising Now

Does your nonprofit mission statement do its job? - Future Fundraising Now | Nonprofit News | Scoop.it
Non-compelling nonprofit mission statements are about as common as gray November days in Seattle. Nothing to write home about, and mostly harmless.
Gabriel Reynoso's insight:

A compelling nonprofit mission statement is a concise message that stirs an emotional connection, inspires action, and communicates your purpose in one powerful sentence.

When writing your mission statement, remember to keep it simple and be clear about what you are saying. Ask yourself these three questions:

1. Is it specific?

2. Is it memorable?

3. Is it inspiring?

You may have to write several drafts before deriving your final words. Feel free to shoot it around to other members of your team for fresh eyes.
