Yes, "I need you" really does light up our brains. Unfortunately, as Seth Godin points out, the "I" might not be a real person and the "You" could refer to anyone.


As nonprofit marketers, what can you do to ensure that there is sincerity in the words "I need you?" I suggest you stay true to your mission and the services you provide for your clients. Make sure there's a real need and focus.
