Sentencing is set for December for 44-year-old Arthur Balom of the Opa-Locka police force. Balom faces a maximum of 40 years behind bars.

Lauren Sellers's curator insight, May 22, 9:04 AM

This is an interesting little chart because it reveals to us which countries have the highest percentage of migrants that make up their general population. Definitely suprised me to see Qatar as the number one on the list, I would have expected the US to be at the top, but it is not even in the top 10!

Surveillance Video: Florida woman tries on engagement ring in store -- and runs out!

Surveillance Video: Florida woman tries on engagement ring in store -- and runs out! | NonA | Scoop.it

Via Tampa Bay Online:

Hillsborough County deputies have released a surveillance video and are seeking the public's help in locating a woman they say ran away with an engagement ring she tried on at a Brandon jewelry store last month.

On Sept. 23 at about 2:50 p.m., an unknown female approached the counter at Zales in the Westfield Brandon mall and asked an employee to see a gold engagement ring set, deputies say.

The video shows her running out of the store after she received it from the employee.

The ring set is valued at $1,739, deputies say.

The woman is described as 18-21 years old, Hispanic or black with a light complexion. She is between 5 feet and 5 feet 5, with a thin build, black hair with a red patch on the side, and a bright-colored tattoo on her upper left arm...
