Taking the “Con” out of Conflict | UX Magazine

Taking the “Con” out of Conflict | UX Magazine | Noam Design | Scoop.it
This post was originally seen on http://uxmag.com/

Life without conflict is impossible. Everywhere we go, we find conflict in some form, be it international wars or hostile conference rooms. Conflict has been part of life since the dawn of humanity, and probably a lot earlier than that, if you can picture single-celled organisms battling it out for the best spot in the primordial ooze. But how we humans manage and move beyond conflict separates the kids from the grown-ups. (Though, in my career, I’ve witnessed grown men and women whose behavior rivaled a three-year-old, mid-meltdown.)

Google+ - Watch out Facebook.... Google's coming to get you!

Watch out Facebook.... Google's coming to get you!
Simon Dadia's insight:

With the amount of traction Google plus has been getting and the recent tests we've seen Google plus is coming of age..

Try it yourself, post something on Google plus, then post it on FB and see the amount of plus ones and shares you get from Gplus and compare it to your Facebook stats and see for yourself.

There is a caveat, Google still hasn't conquered the market and have many markets and niches wide open... hint hint..

Using Google Analytics to understand the impact of social media on SEO

Using Google Analytics to understand the impact of social media on SEO | Noam Design | Scoop.it
This guest post from James Gurd discusses why social media is an important part of SEO and how Google Analytics Social reports can help.
Simon Dadia's insight:

I have seen very similar results as well. The amount of sharing on Googlel plus is on par with FB for certain topics but Google is still to young to have taken control of all social circles.

It makes sense if you have a strong social following of real people talking about you and sahring your content, it's clear to see how this is an accurate graph to go by whether or not this is worthy content to be shown on the first pages of google.

Great Technology Ideas For Anyone Running A Blog

Great Technology Ideas For Anyone Running A Blog | Noam Design | Scoop.it

There are many benefits to blogging, but a lot of folks wanting to start it are unsure of how to proceed. It is one thing to start up a page and start posting content, but another to make the blog something followed and interesting to others. Read the following paragraphs for ideas you can use towards running a successful blog.

Pay attention to competitors' blogs, and make sure you are doing what you can, in order to stay ahead of the game. Look for new innovative ways to blog according to your target niche. Make sure you do not allow competitors or any others to copy any of your content, either.

Don't be afraid to stretch out your hand and ask your reader for a donation. Your loyal readers, in particular, will be likely to donate some to your cause. If your blog is valuable enough, people will realize it. They will also realize that, not only does it cost you money to produce your blog, your time is valuable.

Try to include many links to similar blogs on your site. In many cases, when other sites find out you link to them, they will be willing to link back, which in turn can get you a ton of traffic. This is a simple step you can take to improve your blogging endeavor.

Use tags correctly. Tags let you categorize your posts into different categories, which can then be searched by readers. Each of your posts should have two or three tags. Make sure you use the same words for similar posts (don't have a "bikes" and "biking" tag, for example), and don't give posts too many tags, as this tends to clutter up categories.

It is extremely important that you create something that has value to the readers within your niche. This can be as simple as creating a few videos or writing an e-book. The purpose is just to create things that hold value. Have these valuable things available for sell on your blog.

When you are writing a blog, it is important that you make a point to include some search engine keywords to the beginning, middle and end of your article. Doing this will ensure that you get a good amount of attention from the search engines. Also, this manner of keywords will keep your article from seeming roughly written.

Running a blog can provide benefits ranging from professional prestige to business branding, to personal gratification. However, bridging the gap from a basic blog to a successful one is not hard. Now that you have read this article, you should plan to apply the knowledge presented here for success in your blogging adventure.
