If you are new to technology, I would encourage you to be honest with your students and tell them that you are trying something new and it may not work. Involve them in the process and get their feedback and advice. Many students may have a wider knowledge of technology than their teachers, so draw on their knowledge, but remember that there is also a linguistic and educational purpose for using technology and this is where you will be able to help and support your students.

Being an educator is quite demanding in terms of planning a class. Even though there are many helpful resources that we can use to teach and take advantage of them. Due to the great changes produced by the technology and the opportunities it offers, such as interactive classrooms, instant information, and permanent updates, It’s quite important that the entire school system improves and becomes a part of the age of technology. so it’s better that we introduce changes one by one If we want that our students to listen, and not only hear what we’re saying, but ask questions and engage in discussions, it’s quite important for as to find a way to intrigue them and spark their curiosity. We should definitely try to use their desire to know everything – when a student is curious about our subject, they will pay attention, and that additional interest they show will help them store all the facts that they have heard in their long-term memory later on. Visualization Is a Powerful Learning Tool taught to students in order to help them develop their memory. In fact, some children develop their own unique set of memory tools. However, whether they’re writing things down, studying out loud or drawing sketches, all of them respond to visual teaching aids incredibly well. Various colors, different fonts, and creative shapes can all be used together to help students to learn more efficiently, but they can also help educators keep their students focused on the topic at hand, without the need for wasting any extra energy on warnings and reestablishing order in the classroom. Use of visuals like infographics can be quite beneficial to both student and teacher. They allow as to create our lessons around a central image, something that the entire class can be focused on as we speak, so we don’t have to check our notes every couple of minutes to make sure we didn’t forget something.

For any educator who grew up in a world where information was scarce and difficult to access, the possibilities offered by this combination should be a revelation. I agree with the fact that technology has created learners’ autonomy since it has different useful information for them. By the way, teachers need to be able to encourage students to search information in the best way. When students realize that technology is successful and helpful for them and start to understand the really meaning of technology, they become more autonomy and committed with their learning process. Technology is playing an important role in our education nowadays since it brings us a lot of information that we can receive and play with in the best way to improve our learning. One of the best methods that we can use for our knowledge is the technology.

11 Reasons why teachers don't use technology

11 Reasons why teachers don't use technology | Nik Peachey | Scoop.it

A recent survey reported in the UK newspaper the The Telegraph stated that as many as half of the teachers consulted for the survey said they rarely use technology in the classroom. This came as no surprise to me, but what did surprise me when I shared the article with my professional networks, was the number of trainers and teachers who actually blamed lazy and unmotivated teachers for this.

Abdulsalam Al-Mukradi's curator insight, February 29, 2016 11:10 AM

The use of technology is a big issue among teachers and educators. Whener we talk or discuss the use of technology, most teachers start mombling and react to the idea in a passive way. Some may be most teachers tend to say that technology is a waste of time, effort, and result to a boring classroom atmosphere. They also complain about the absence of some the necessary equipment for teacher and students to use in the classroom. The other reason they mention is the time that they need to spend preparing for the use of technology. In my opinion technology is the key of delivering information to studnets faster and enriching their knowledge and making the students the teachers feel great, supportive and enthusiastic to keep on studying and learning new ideas.I would highly recomment to every teacher to start and keep using technology to make thier teaching style unique.

12 Tips for training older teachers to use technology

12 Tips for training older teachers to use technology | Nik Peachey | Scoop.it
There is an assumption that persists in the educational community that more mature teachers are much more difficult and reluctant to be trained on the effective use of educational technology. To some degree, I think this assumption has been built on by the digital native vs digital immigrant myth. But as someone who has trained teachers of all ages all over the world I would say that, from my own experience, this hasn’t been the case.
