Fist came the radio, then the television and now a new dawn is emerging. The global network has become a compendium of streaming information. The way we market to the human mind must also be changed in order to account for this new way of information exchange. I've already detailed how social networks can track and predict your very thoughts and actions so I won't go into it too much again. However what I will emphasis is the fact that in the very near future advertising will lose it's social stigma, why? Because no longer will arbitrary ads invade your personal life. Instead commercial information will be presented to you in a way that plays on your inability to resist temptation. Like a friend persuading you to do something you know you shouldn't; "advertising" will be that friend promoting to you in such a way that the skip feature will be nothing more than of aesthetic value. How will this be achieved? Simple, your digital self that you had to let the world know about will be dissected and the base elements that make you tick will become the new foundation of how a company presents its pitch to you.

Keep in mind this is data from over a year ago ...

"I saw the analysis when it was posted over a year ago but never got around to sharing it. It crossed my desktop again recently. The results still seem to apply."

"Twitter is still for the techies ... "

Not so sure I agree. Think techies have moved to GooglePlus. Would like to see Twitter v GooglePlus.

Building a Computer to Model the Brain

Building a Computer to Model the Brain | NightsBridge Scoops | Scoop.it

One question that scientists get asked a lot is; how far away we are from creating artificial intelligence? The answer depends of course on what we mean by intelligence but if we are talking about something that is an artificial version of man then the answer is unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately if you grew up watching Terminator) we aren’t even close.

The main reason for that is the human brain. While we are now able to grow ears on mice and create artificial internal organs we are a long way from building a brain. The average brain contains around 100 million neurons connected by a quadrillion constantly changing synapses. Although it uses less energy than is needed to power the average light bulb, if you attempted to recreate this with the computing power available today you would need a nuclear power plant to run it.
