“Now I existed solely thanks to the quantum paradox, my brain a collection of qubits in quantum superposition, encoding truths and memories, imagination and irrationality in opposing, contradictory states that existed and didn't exist, all at the same time.” ― Robin Wasserman, Crashed

  • WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

The  key factors are: Learners’ age, back ground knowledge, the purpose of learning, the learners’ circumstances (employed, students, unemployed, etc…)

  • DO YOU HAVE THE COURSE CURRICULUM?

In many cases the course curriculum does exist, for example: National Curriculum, University course modules , In-house corporate training.

  • WHAT EXTERNAL PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS NEED TO BE MET?

All external examination bodies provide an exam guide or syllabus which you have to insure your course will address them.

  • WHAT IS THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT?

Would your learners attend any face to face classes? Do they access their course from home, work, or college? Do they work as a group or individuals?

We should host the Olympics in the same place every time

We should host the Olympics in the same place every time | NGOs in Human Rights, Peace and Development | Scoop.it
The Olympics are bad for cities. So why do we keep asking new places to invest billions of dollars in state-of-the-art stadiums they’ll never use again?

The game of the Games is rigged, with the IOC bearing no cost but reaping great profits. The competition is designed to force cities to bid ever upward, proposing state-of-the-art projects that they might not even need. Because of the mounting price tag, the vast majority of countries could never afford to host the Games. We need a new model, and I think the solution is obvious. We should build the Summer Olympics a permanent home.

It's a powerful story, a tragedy for the families and a big challenge for Western society and modern Western Muslims.
rodrick rajive lal's curator insight, August 20, 6:37 AM

A sad story about young people being exploited for their naivete and gullibility. This is also a phenomenon arising out of a sense of helplessness, boredom, and lack of adventure, change, and challenges. In many cases, unemployment, and lack of success both at school, at home and the society might cause the young to fall prey to the lure of a more exciting life where they have the power to make a change to the society. The sense of being marginalised and not heard, being slighted by the society, and not having a voice that is heard are all aggravating factors.
