"World leaders are attending a major conference on the future of Somalia in London to focus on finding peace and ending threats of terrorism and piracy."
Furthermore the article states,
Translated this means that Somalia is about to be attacked by the US/UK imperialists so that they can intervene and interfere and effect a regime change to align this country under one of their 'puppets'.
If you think this is a cynical view, then you need to learn that this is a process that has been happening around the world for decades!
This is not cynicism, this is history repeating itself.
But the juggernaut of imperialism must be stopped!
"Fitch credit rating agency has downgraded Greece further from ‘CCC’ to ‘C,’ after the country said it may force losses on private creditors who do not voluntarily sign up to a debt deal."
Talk about kicking someone when they are down.
What are they trying to achieve here?
What monsters!
This is despicable, not just the situation in Greece but the dreadful BBC reporting of the situation!
When will they realise that the austerity measures will only continue to cripple Greece.
Unfortunately the 'analyst' spouts the usual rubbish that it is only the 'corrupt politicians' and the 'wealthy Greeks who failed to pay their taxes' who are the cause of this crisis.
These are lies.
The real culprits are the US/UK oligarchs who are trying to destroy the Eurozone in their effort to maintain the dollar as the world reserve currency.
If they are allowed to get away with imposing austerity measures on Greece, the rest of Europe will follow.
This debt must be cancelled and real measures intoduced to help the Greek people not destroy them!
"The US should dump the failed Chicago-Austrian system of free trade, deregulation, and privatization, and return to the classic American System of political economy, meaning an updated New Deal. No Keynesians, Austrians, Chicago boys, or Marxists need apply. RT panel with Pepe Escobar, Michael Hudson, and Webster Tarpley."
Although this programme was recorded back in October 2010, it remains relevant!
Please watch this 10 minute interview.
"World Crisis Radio Broadcast: Iran Offers Negotiations; Panetta Admits Tehran Has No Nuclear Weapons Program; Al Qaeda Leads NATO’s Syrian Death Squads vs. Assad; US Mounts False Flags; General War in Sight"
Yes, that's right. Iran has no Nuclear Weapons programme, which means there is no basis for a war!
Webster Griffin Tarpley also includes an expose of the appalling austerity measures imposed on Greece and clearly explains how the debt has arisen, which has nothing to do with the Greek people.
This situation is not exclusive to Greece, it will spread to all Eurozone countries if the US/UK oligarchs have their way.
"The important thing about the attack on an Israeli diplomat’s car [109 CD 35; blue number plate with CD meaning Diplomatic Corps] is that it happened within the square mile of sanitized Delhi that rules over 1.2 billion Indians. This is an intensely patrolled area; at every intersection you will find a fast police car with armed policemen to cordon off an entire street or several streets within seconds of any terrorist event.
Therefore, it is simply inconceivable that a lone rider on a motorbike stopped by the Israeli diplomat’s car, attached an explosive device, and scooted from the scene before the car blew up. And all of this within seconds. Either the policemen were sleeping – all of them, at the same time – at quarter past three; or something else happened."
Yet another 'lone wolf' story of the sort that informed people have long stopped believing.
Eventually the lies must be exposed and the real perpetrators of 'terrorism' will be brought to justice!
This video interview with Michael Hudson on The Real News Network talks about the brutal austerity measures that are being imposed on the Greek people.
However it seems that Michael Hudson believes it is the Europeans imposing these measures on wages just to save money.
But that is not the full picture of what is happening in Greece and the rest of Europe.
The deeper reasons are that the US wants to keep the dollar as the reserve currency and is doing everything it can to ruin the Euro, by ruining the European countries, one by one.
Sadly, Greece is in the firing line at the moment.
There is a possible solution, although it is not among the ones being suggested, and that is to do what Iceland did - refuse the bailout and prosecute the bankers.
John Perkins: "Zeitgeist: Addendum" Extended Interview 2008
Please watch this video if you want to understand what is happening in the world.
As well as exposing the dreadful behaviour of the US/UK imperialists, John Perkins also offers insights into the possibilities for overthrowing them, which provides hope for a better future for us all.
"Russia accuses the West of being an ‘accomplice’ in the escalation of the Syrian unrest."
"Damascus blames ‘outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups’ for the violence, insisting that it is being orchestrated from abroad."
It seems that the Syrian President is being incorrectly and unfairly blamed for the violence in his country.
One of the better actions of the United Nations was the Declaration of Human Rights that was issued in 1948.
The problem is that many of these Human Rights have been taken away from us under the guise of the 'war on terror' etc
If you are not aware of it, there is a link from this blog article to a copy of the declaration that you can access so that you can be familiar with its contents.
Reading this document will give you an insight into just how much has been, and continues to be, taken away from us under false pretenses.
It is indeed up to you what you choose to do about it, because that is indeed your right and your freedom.
But we have reached a point where doing nothing is no longer an option.
The US and the UK, amongst others, are outraged by the Russian and Chinese veto of the UN resolution and accused President Assad of tyranny.
This is absolutely outrageous and completely hypocritical, considering the recent tyrannies imposed by some of the countries who are shouting most loudly against it.
It is important to understand that the unrest in Syria has been manipulated by forces determined to overthrow President Assad, and force a regime change so that they can instal a 'puppet' who will be willing to do their bidding.
"Syria is a sovereign state and its future should be an affair of Syrians. So, when Americans say that they protect Syrians from Bashar al-Assad or even worse that they protect Syrians from Russia and China, this is the height of hypocrisy because we know very well… we remember that in the last ten years the US several times raised the possibility of armed intervention in Syria."
Syria's future should definitely be decided by the Syrians, most of whom are happy with Assad and blame the problems on 'foreign conspiracy'.
It seems the Syrian people understand what is happening in their country!
"Leading Charles Dickens biographer Claire Tomalin has said children are not being taught to read with the attention span necessary to appreciate the novelist's works."
On the eve of the bicentenary of his birth, it seems that children are no longer sufficiently educated to enjoy his work.
To say this does not bode well for the future is an understatement. Although the article states that Dickens' work has been entertaining people, he also educates people about history as his books are full of evocative descriptions of the social conditions of the time.
As Claire Tomalin says "You only have to look around our society and everything he wrote about in the 1840s is still relevant - the great gulf between the rich and poor, corrupt financiers, corrupt MPs, how the country is run by old Etonians, you name it, he said it."
If the education system is not drastically improved, we will lose not just the ability to appreciate Dickens, but the ability for further generations to be inspired to creative thought and expression through all kinds of media, not just literature. It could be the end of the arts and culture as we know it!
This is a video that explains there has been use of uranium, actually slightly enriched (not depleted) uranium in US weapons that were applied in Iraq.
A new, secret weapon already in use, it seems...

"I’m sitting here wondering whether we’ve just been watching the biggest bank heist of all time, being played out on the world stage over the past few decades. One thing’s for sure. Something really huge is going down right now. I’m not sure what, but many very high level and senior bankers and politicians are resigning en masse worldwide."
"Not least among them is Lloyd Blankfein, who is ‘stepping down’ as chief executive of Goldman Sachs. Also ‘stepping down’ is World Bank President Robert Zoellick. The whole Romanian cabinet has resigned, to a man, and not forgetting the German president Christian Wulff’s resignation in disgrace a few days ago. It’s also noteable that the British, Dutch and Swedes are refusing to sign off the EU accounts, amidst accusations of budget mis-management ~ a term often used as a euphemism for financial fraud."
Is this a case of getting out before they are pushed out - or before they are found out?
Only time will tell!
"Theo Chalmers interviews Dr Judy Wood regarding her important 500-page book "Where Did The Towers Go?" which is the only publicly available independent forensic investigation into the destruction of the WTC."
This is a mind-blowing interview.
But do not let that deter you from watching the evidence presented in this 'must watch' video.
Dr Judy Wood is eminently and uniquely qualified to examine the evidence from 9/11, which is discussed here with photographic and video evidence to support her work.
The Twin Towers did not collapse, they were 'dustified'.
The evidence in her book has not been disputed.
"Most people in the United States have long suspected that a “shadow government” exists and that the real power in the country resides in that dark location, not in our elected government. The citizens instinctly know that our elected officials are really nothing more than the hired servants of the money masters and are beholden to them if they wish to retain their positions of power."
This is an extremely interesting article if you want to understand 'derivatives' and how the money masters use them for controlling us all!
As the author of the article says, "There is not enough money on this planet to cover these contracts."
This is the reason for our world economic crisis!
Officials in Tehran are welcomed across the global South, despite Washington's claims of international confinement.
In December 2011, impervious to dire consequences for the global economy, the US Congress - under all the usual pressures from the Israel lobby (not that it needs them) - foisted a mandatory sanctions package on the Obama administration (100 to 0 in the Senate and with only 12 "no" votes in the House). Starting in June, the US will have to sanction any third-country banks and companies dealing with Iran's Central Bank, which is meant to cripple that country's oil sales - though Congress did allow for some "exemptions".
The ultimate target? Regime change - what else? - in Tehran. The proverbial anonymous US official admitted as much in the Washington Post, and that paper printed the comment. ("The goal of the US and other sanctions against Iran is regime collapse, a senior US intelligence official said, offering the clearest indication yet that the Obama administration is at least as intent on unseating Iran's government as it is on engaging with it.") But oops! The newspaper then had to revise the passage to eliminate that embarrassingly on-target quote. Undoubtedly, this "red line" came too close to the truth for comfort.
Former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen believed that only a monster shock-and-awe-style event, totally humiliating the leadership in Tehran, would lead to genuine regime change - and he was hardly alone. Advocates of actions ranging from air strikes to invasion (whether by the US, Israel, or some combination of the two) have been legion in neocon Washington.
"BBC interview wheelchair user and cerebal palsy sufferer Jody McIntryre after he was dragged from his wheelchair by police on two separate occasions...."
This interview speaks for itself.
Please watch it.
This November 2011 interview with Webster Griffin Tarpley on the Alex Jones show is highly insightful.
He covers a number of topics, including the situation in Syria and a potential war with Iran.
He also analyses the current economic crises and makes it quite clear that austerity measures are genocidal and do not balance the budget.
It is well worth making the time to listen to the full interview.
"China has said it is committed to preventing war and chaos in Syria."
"To achieve this objective, China supports efforts consistent with the UN charter and principles and we are ready to strengthen communication with all parties in Syria and the international community and continue to play a constructive role," he added.
It is time for the US/UK imperialists to learn from this Chinese example.
The world wants peace!
"Germany has hailed the Greek parliament decision to approve new round of harsh austerity measures."
The Greek Parliament has approved a bill to secure a new bailout, which will include another round of austerity measures.
Apparently this is required to avoid a Greek bankruptcy, but the recipients of the money will not be the people, except that the 'people' will be the ones expected to pay back the money, but it is not their debt and the economic situation is neither their 'fault' nor their responsibility to resolve through austerity measures.
Austerity measures will not correct a corrupt system, a fact that is no doubt well-known by those who are imposing them.
The Greek people justifiably protested loud and clear in Athens and in other cities.
The reforms required by IMF and the ECB are not the measures needed to correct the dreadful economic situation in Greece, neither do the IMF and ECB have the right to impose genocidal austerity cuts on the Greek people.
The solution will be found in a very different type of programme, let's hope it is found very soon for the sake of the Greek people.
Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas said Monday his country would freeze plans to ratify a controversial international online anti-piracy accord after mounting off-and-online protests.
"The cabinet cannot accept a situation in which the bedrock of liberty and free access to information is endangered," Necas was quoted as saying by the Czech news agency CTK.
Later Monday, neighbouring Slovakia also suspended its ratification process, with Economy Minister Juraj Miskov saying a wide public debate needed to be initiated before the process could continue.

"The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the Russian Foreign Minister Sergie Lavrov stressed, during his talks with President Bashar al-Assad, the tendency to reach a peaceful settlement for the crisis in Syria without foreign interference and with full respect to the Syrian sovereignty.
In a statement released late Tuesday, the Ministry added that the talks tackled the importance of the constructive cooperation between Syria and the Arab League and of holding an internal national dialogue in addition to implementing the democratic reforms."
This video interview analyses the possibility of war with Iran.
The interviewees connect the anti-war movement with the 'occupy' movement.
It seems the world is waking up and the 99% are making their voices heard.
Iran is being demonised based on no evidence.
If you believe in fairness, peace and justice, please listen to the programme dated 5th February 2012.
Webster Tarpley reports from Iran and this broadcast includes some interviews he conducted.
You will learn that the 'West' is not the force for good they pretend to be and you will learn that Iran is not the force of evil they are being made out to be.
There is no basis for a war!
