“Social” is definitely receiving its fair share of attention these days and that promises to only accelerate when things like Facebook buying Instagram for a billion dollars (yes, Billion…with a “B”) happen.

I was lucky enough to spend the last two days talking and discussing the “Future of Work” with some leading lights in the field – all within the confines of Windsor Castle (one of the Queen’s royal residences).

Pinterest has made “pinning” a household verb, but the online bulletin board is still a small part of the social media ecosystem. This infographic from Internet Marketing, Inc explores the many reasons this site is already so popular, putting its early success in the context of other sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Great little video that describes the 'Millenial Generation' exeperience and expectations around work technology.  They compare what these young professionals use on a 'sunday night' mobiles, facebook etc with what they experience when they get to work on a Monday morning; desktop computers, phones plugged into a wall (?!!). Work needs to catch up if it is to engage this generation to do their best work.
