4 Slim op de context -- kansen selecterend. 
5 Politiek bekwaam -- begrijpend en beïnvloedend. 
6 Transparant -- verantwoording zoekend. 
7 Toegankelijk -- 'open voor business'. 
8 Verbonden en verbindend -- verschillen benuttend.

Old school workplace rules and hierarchies work because we our habituated to them. When I taught, I listened to many conversations ending with "what do you want us to do in our classrooms." It is not just the managers who engage the structure through their command and control methods of do this and that, but followers who ask for certainty in directions.

This perplexes me.  I truly tend to see two camps:  those who want to know what to do (know what is on the test) and those who want freedom to explore with feedback (to understand and to get better at what they do).  

 

I suspect the 'truth" lies somewhere in the middle.  Freedom within boundaries; creative autonomy with feedback.

That's the theory of a hackathon.

To find out how they work, I enter one held during Music Tech Fest, which is on tour in Boston.

Stevige eisen en hoge verwachtingen ten aanzien van innovatie en maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheid staan hoog op de verlanglijst van de jonge werknemer. In Nederland zal 43% van de toekomstige leiders liever onafhankelijk werken via digitale middelen in plaats van te werken binnen een traditionele organisatiestructuur. Wereldwijd ligt dit percentage zelfs op 70%. Dit blijkt uit de jaarlijkse Millenial Survey van Deloitte onder Generatie Y (jonge werknemers geboren na 1980).
