Naar de kapper voor een paar Niksen tijden de bijeenkomst (bron: Facebook) Handelen met alternatieve valuta is in, maar het is niks nieuws. In 's-Hertogenbosch ruilt de Lokale Ruilkring al bijna twintig jaar met Niksen. De lokale aanpak maakt dat het systeem werkt. Marieke doet de was voor Jan, Jan legt een tuin aan voor Kees, Kees schildert een portret voor Karin, en Karin doet de boekhouding van Jan. Het gebeurt sinds 1995 allemaal in de Lokale Ruilkring 's-Hertogenbosch. De goederen en diensten worden niet betaald met euro's, maar met hun eigen ruilmiddel: de Niks. Niks voor niks De Niks heeft geen vaste waarde. De deelnemers van de ruilkring bepalen in overleg hoeveel diensten, kennis of goederen waard zijn. De regionale vragers en aanbieders vinden elkaar op de website niksvoorniks.nl, tijdens de kwartaalbijeenkomsten of in het KLETS-café. Als een deelnemer een dienst verleent of een product verkoopt, worden de afgesproken Niksen bijgeschreven op zijn online rekening. Die Niksen

Stevige eisen en hoge verwachtingen ten aanzien van innovatie en maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheid staan hoog op de verlanglijst van de jonge werknemer. In Nederland zal 43% van de toekomstige leiders liever onafhankelijk werken via digitale middelen in plaats van te werken binnen een traditionele organisatiestructuur. Wereldwijd ligt dit percentage zelfs op 70%. Dit blijkt uit de jaarlijkse Millenial Survey van Deloitte onder Generatie Y (jonge werknemers geboren na 1980).
