The Recording Art Industry has asked and appealed to many smartphone affiliated companies like the creators of the Google Play store to remove the apps they offer that allows people to download as much music as they want regardless of how new or how old the artist or song and artist may be. This is one of the biggest threats the music industry faces with the amount of songs downloaded every year for example 27million people as of March 2014 have downloaded at least one song so at the very minimum these industries have lost $27 million in less than a year.
