This looks like a lot of work, but I can see students really getting into it. It looks like a great way to 'trick' students into working very hard to learn the things needed for a successful project. (that they would have fun doing).

Content curation seems to be the only sanity-saving cure to information overload! Still, content marketers often face the dilemma of weighing the pros and cons of content creation versus content curation.
We have been looking at curation and creation as a two separate practices. Yet I beg to differ: content curation can give a huge boost to content creation and that is the key point I want to make in this article.
Content curation can help in refining created content in three different ways.

This has me thinking critically about how we are integrating social media. Inviting interaction has been a huge challenge. We are stimulating new conversations in real world time, but that's not reflected in comments and so forth. I like using Scoop.It widgets to get the newest scoop onto the bog in a timely manner and take some time to reflect on post content.

Hi Ken, some are free and some are regrettably not free (books, for example); nevertheless, I find it a great source of information regarding media literacy for education.

Ken's Key Takeaway: The best way to help students understand the effects of media is for them to become creators of media. By seeing how they can shape people's perception of a story, they begin to realize how all consumers of media are vlunerable to the bias of the producers. This is the heart of media literacy.
It provides nice framework and primer for digital storytelling. The focus is on how to use it in an educational environment. I believe this could be used as a textbook.

I am very happy with that Scoop.it now lets us share links to .pdf addresses. I don't know when they added the feature, but it makes me happy. This is one of my favorite .pdf resources for teachers. They have and updated/expanded one that they share when you subscribe to their email address. I have it and recommend it, but I chose to not share it to respect their marketing efforts and their hard work in creating it I really like their site and services.

This week I learned from Clay Shirky about the CVS flop that led to the Flip Camera. I was inspired. Ironically, tonight I learned that I could have learned about this 10 days ago if I would have read this article the first time the I clicked "Open in New Tab". Back to the focus. I love this new resource that I found regarding marketing, inovation, technology, and more.
