This looks like a lot of work, but I can see students really getting into it. It looks like a great way to 'trick' students into working very hard to learn the things needed for a successful project. (that they would have fun doing).

A great 'experiment' to see if yoiu are any good at detecting false information. This will take you 30 minutes to rethink documentaries for the rest of you life. I think it is a good investment.

You can't understand new media without understanding 'somewhat old media'. If you do not like television news today, it probably has a lot to do with the elimination of the Fairness Doctrine in the 1908's. During that period, TV stations stopped thinking of news as a service and began moving the news department under the entertainment departments. The news was no longer a prerequisite for renewal of broadcast liscenses. It became a tool to increase profits. Thirty years later, we live with the results. Delete the scoop?

Ken's Key Takeaway: I actually think it is a bad idea to remove politics from your livestream, but I think it is interesting that we now have a tool to do so. I think it is important for us to be exposed to different views on politics. If we are offended or not impressed, we can block one person, but I don't think it is wise to block all politics

I agree with Ken. It is great that you can filter stuff out that you don't want but politics is part of everything and to ignore it completely leads to ignorance.

In my 100+ consecutive TWIT podcasts, this is one of my favorites. They talk about Apple vs Amazon. Also, Apple fired Scott Forstall who led the earth's move to IOS. How will this effect the company?
