That is so true Ken! We end up not being able to see the forest for the trees. I always encourage those working on their biz stories to get help from a colleague or friend for that outside perspective. That's what I do and it helps a lot!

Let's put it out there right now: I am personally not a fan of Klout, which ranks people based on their Internet interactions and engagement on services like Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.

Why this writer doesn't think human resource managers should look at Klout.
Ken's Key Takeaway: tweeting from within Twitter helps your Klout Score. The head of human resources at sales force has a score of 54. Some people require of score of 35 to be hired. Is there a relation between Klout score and being a good worker? I'm all ears. Managing a Klout score can be distracting. Especially when Twitter should be used primarily as a listing and learning tool (not a talking tool), I think that Klout can pollute the Twitter experience.

Wouldn't want to be a 2012 grad for all the tea in China given the lackluster state of economy and hiring. Great, helpful post by maxOz may help dull the pain some. If I had it to do over again I would start my first company at 22 not 35 because 1. WHY NOT and 2. see #1. Great Scoop Michele. Marty
