Do Not Touch - Celebrate the nearing end of the humble computer cursor / @StudioMoniker | [New] Media Art Education & Research | Scoop.it
After 50 years of pointing and clicking, Studio Moniker are celebrating the nearing end of the computer cursor with a music video where all our cursors can be seen together for one last time.
Monika Fleischmann's insight:

Created by Amsterdam based studio Moniker (Roel Wouters, Luna Maurer, Jonathan Puckey), Do Not Touch is a crowd-sourced music video for the band Light Light and is the second project (starting with Pointer Pointer) in a series of projects that celebrate the  ”nearing end of the humble computer cursor”.

Monika Fleischmann's insight:

Tiny characters add a fresh touch to The Leisure Society’s latest track
Monika Fleischmann's insight:

Brighton-based studio Persistent Peril has brought the latest music video for British folk-pop band The Leisure Society to life with a spirited animation featuring the giant hand of a fickle  god.

‘Fight For Everyone’ charts the creation of the universe, tracking the progress of a “god-like” hand as it populates planet Earth’s landscapes, before losing its temper and destroying its creations – to humorous effect.

“Keeping characters readable and super tiny was a great challenge, but allowed for some really fun animation,” Jones adds. “We’re really proud of the fast-cut 'gags' in the end – they really make the film. A massive thanks to Mark Billington and Emma Wakley for helping out on those.”
