A see-through tablet for Augmented Reality Learning

A see-through tablet for Augmented Reality Learning | networked media | Scoop.it

I can dare to say this influences a lot for school settings. Also, this see-through tablet can be employed in business settings, especially for occupational safety and health field. A safety manager or an employee can use this tablet to inspect or check out their facilities regularly. A lot of thoughts on AR for learning and training are in my mind and I am working on it really hard and want to make this AR involved in training settings for my company and other areas.

elearn Magazine: Gamification: Using Game Mechanics to Enhance eLearning

elearn Magazine: Gamification: Using Game Mechanics to Enhance eLearning | networked media | Scoop.it

Gamification is not the inclusion of stand-alone games in eLearning (or, whatever gamification is being applied to). It also has very little to do with art-styles, themes, or the application of narrative. Rather, game mechanics are the construct of rules that encourage users to explore and learn the properties of their possibility space through the use of feedback mechanisms. With gamification, these "possibility spaces" have been expanded beyond just games into other areas like marketing, education, the workplace, social media, philanthropy, and the Web, just to name a few. As a game designer now making eLearning software, I've found that much of what is used to build engagement in games can also be applied to other interactive material such as eLearning.

Griddeo is designed to let users find and create their own channels of videos, which can then be watched in a continuous stream.

Once a user has logged in with Facebook, Griddeo uses information from their likes and interests on the social network to suggest channels that they might be interested in.

Users can also choose from a list of featured or suggested channels, which include TV shows, movies and musicians, but also extends to celebrities and brands.

And finally, they can create custom channels from videos that they’ve found on the network and share those playlists with their friends.
