Langtang valley trek ranks third popular destination for the trekking in Nepal. This is one of the less polluted, less human influenced area near to the Kathmandu valley- the capital of the Nepal. This area is 72 km far and northeast to the Kathmandu valley. Even the moderate walker, non-experienced travelers can set up their foot for the Langtang valley trek. The places renowned places like Gosaikunda, Helambu, Langtang National Park, Syabrubesi attracts most of the travelers.

The Langtang trekking covers the district of Sindhupalchowk, Rasuwa and Nuwakot district.The trekking to Langtang valley trek starting from the Syabrubesi and ends to the KyangjinRI 4773m.Lang means Yak and trek means trail.This is the trek following the trail of the yak.Most of the areas are the part of the Langtang National park which was established in the year of 1976 to conserve the native species of the flora and fauna of this region.Red Panda and Snow Leopard are the endangered species found in this region. The trek follows the classic trail of climbing passing the Tamang villages. After the stay in Lama hotel and walk for the few hours, you enter the Langtang valley.In the Langtang valley you can find the community of the Tamang  people who are descended of the Tibet.They are the follower of the Buddhism. You can spend  your night in the small lodges available in this region. With the every ascend of your trek, the settlement became scattered. In the route you came in the encounter with the yaks carrying the heavy loads which are the major transport of these areas.The Buddhist prayer flags, cartoons and monasteries on many locationstranquilizes thepeaceness of this area.KyanjinGompa (3800m),Langtang glacier, Kyangja la pass(5122m)are the features of this trekking region. On the route you can have the spectacular view of theLirung peak(7227m), Ganchenpopeak  (6387m).
If your condition is good and every condition is favorable you can further hike up to the KyanjingRI (4773m), the highest point of the trekking. You can have a mesmerizing moment standing with the snow peak mountains in the surrounding. From here, the trail descend to the Thyangsyap village (3140m), Rimche , Syabrubesi and finally back to the Kathmandu.

Ganesh Himal Trek

Lying just west of Langtang National Park it is a non tourist area trek recommended for experiencing and exploring Tamang culture, rhododendron forest, diverse topography with vibrant climatic variations. The trek commences from Trishuli Bazaar to Gorkha Bazaar with an attractive panorama of the Ganesh Himal for about 3 weeks.
