Palmer: Jamal Crawford has arrived

Palmer: Jamal Crawford has arrived | NBA league news | Scoop.it
Chris Palmer asks Jamal Crawford why he's having a career year and the super sub credits his talented teammates.
Cian Moore's insight:

The next topic I want to add my insight to is about a nobody who is not a somebody. I am talking about the Los Angeles Clippers reserve forward, Jamal Crawford. Back in the day, Crawford won the Sixth Man Award and 2000 draft's career leading scorer, but today the Clippers are recognizing the things that Jamal has accomplished, such as averaging about 16.3 points per game which is his ninth best record out of his 13 year career. One of his weak points is his postseason record, only having played 23 career playoff games, he disregarded as a good player and all of the big heads who were reviewing him are much interested in him after seeing the work he has put in this season. The Clippers got lucky when they picked up Jamal Crawford during the offseason and he unexpectedly became on off the best offseason pickups. To finish off I want to say a few words on the Chris Paul effect. Once the team heard of the trade Blake Griffin declared that the team will be called "Lob City". Since then the Clippers have been the team to watch as the throw the ball up in the air to their brethren. Jamal Crawford being one of them. Until next time, this is NBA league news bringing you the latest news.

Subtracting Harden Adds Up For OKC « NBA.com | Hang Time Blog

Subtracting Harden Adds Up For OKC « NBA.com | Hang Time Blog | NBA league news | Scoop.it
Cian Moore's insight:

Back in October, James Harden, the sixth game of the year, was traded away to the Houston Rockets because the Thunder was unable to come up with a contract agreement. The Thunder received Kevin Martin for James Harden and today I want to talk about how the two settled in on their new teams. From this point in the season, the Thunder are confidently able to say, No Harden no problem, because their newest member, Kevin Martin was able to fully take over Harden's place as in that he is an excellent scorer, especially from the outside like James Harden was, and with this skill not as good as his replaced, is drawing fouls. Martin is able to drive really well and try to draw a foul, but will never be as good as this as James Harden is. On the Thunder James Harden had an important role, he won the sixth man of the year, but his role wasn’t as big as it now. In Houston, James Harden is not only the team's starting shooting guard, but he is, as described by his former coach, an All-Star Player. Harden has averaged 21 points while playing for the Rockets against his former team, the Thunder. Until next time, this is NBA league news bringing you the latest news.

Clippers top Celtics by 29 to win 15th straight

Clippers top Celtics by 29 to win 15th straight | NBA league news | Scoop.it
NBA Basketball Recap: Final statistics from the Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Clippers game played on December 27, 2012
Cian Moore's insight:

Last night the Clippers proved their true skill after having a major 29 point win over the Celtics for their 15th straight win of the season. The Clipper's starters weren't the only ones to contribute to the win, although they did help a lot; Caron Butler with 14 points, Blake Griffin with 15 points and one of the team's forwards, Lamar Odem, having 13 rebounds. Yes these are outstanding accomplishments, but some say their bench had a bigger impact, Matt Barnes, one of the team's reserved forwards with a career high of 21 points and Jamal Crawford with 17 points. As for the other side of the floor, the Celtics tried their hardest, but couldn’t quite get there as there were already down by 23 in the beginning of fourth quarter because of the Clippers first run of the night, a 9-0 run. One of the main reasons this eastern conference team couldn’t grab the win the other night was their lack of scoring at the end of the game, only scoring 10 points of the last 12 minutes of the game. Until next time this is NBA league news bringing you the latest news.

LA-LA Stirs What-Ifs, But Not For Paul « NBA.com | Hang Time Blog

LA-LA Stirs What-Ifs, But Not For Paul « NBA.com | Hang Time Blog | NBA league news | Scoop.it
Cian Moore's insight:

If you can remember all the way back to December of 2011, a big trade was about to go down, which would send three players to three different teams. Of those three players was Chris Paul who would have went to the Lakers, Pau Gasol to the Rockets, and Kevin Martian to the Hornets. Lucky for Chris Paul NBA commissioner, David Stern vetoed the trade sending Paul to the Clippers, the team that he has fallen in love with. 13 months later, Chris was asked how he feels about where he is now and where he could of gone, the Lakers. He replied with the fact that he never ever thinks about how the Lakers would have been because currently the Clippers are 9 games ahead with a record of 25-8 and the Lakers only have a record of 15-16. He was also asked on how he feels about being ahead of the team he almost went to and replied saying that being 9 games ahead in January means nothing, the Lakers can get better between now and mid-April; however, so can the Clippers. Until next time, this is NBA league news bringing you the latest news.

Haberstroh: Are we bored of LeBron James' greatness?

Haberstroh: Are we bored of LeBron James' greatness? | NBA league news | Scoop.it
Tom Haberstroh puts together some numbers that suggest the Miami Heat are taking LeBron James for granted.
Cian Moore's insight:

When the Miami Heat and their head coach, Eric Spoelstra, sit back and try to review what they think of their star small forward, LeBron James, they have to ask themselves has his greatness and success made them bored. Players with this great of a talent for the sport only come around once a century and the Heat have this remarkable player. James has racked in some of the highest awards an NBA player can receive. From winning his first championship title last year, to his three NBA MVP trophies, and the gold medal he won while participating in the London 2012 Olympic Games, LeBron James has to give us a reason, rather than us making one up, why he shouldn’t be the favorite for the NBA MVP every year. In his 10 year career, LeBron James has managed to outscore NBA legends Scottie Pippen, Magic Johnson, and Isaiah Thomas' entire career points. Also on his list of accomplishments, James has played 137 straight games, not missing one, including the start of the last season the 2012 Olympic Games. With all this under his belt, LeBron lovers have stated they are in a state of LeBron Boredom. We will continue to watch this story and many others as the season progresses, but until then this is NBA league news bringing you the latest news.

Paul Lorenc's comment, January 13, 2013 10:54 PM
With the opinion of has LeBron’s greatness ran out many are reluctant to say it has because of the fear being beaten up by all the criticism they will receive. But there are a few souls who would say it has run out. But Cian has demonstrated why people should not get tiered of a player’s greatness. As he said a player like this comes around maybe one a generation. And its true all the past greats were at least fifty years ago. With number such as LeBron’s nobody has any reason to get board of his greatness. As Cian Said again he (LeBron) out scored many of the previous greats and has said if that’s a reason it shouldn’t be. Because to become great now requires more effort, drive and, determination because of all the past greats. Such as Michael Jordon, Magic Johnson etc. I completely agree with Cian’s statement about the article

Windhorst: The Prokhorov paradox

Brooklyn's next coach will have to deal with immediate pressure from owner Mikhail Prokhorov, writes Brian Windhorst.
Cian Moore's insight:

As some of you may know, the owner of the Brooklyn Nets, Mikhail Prokhorov, took a daring move last Friday to fire the team's head coach, Avery Johnson. However, today I want to talk about Prokhorov' future thoughts about the coaching staff for his Brooklyn team. Mr. Prokhorov didn't have any worries when he appeared in the Barclay Center, paying $330 million upgrading the Nets, as money is not a problem. At the moment, Mikhail Prokhoro doesn't have any first choices; as a matter of fact he doesn't have any choices, on who he will hire in place of Avery Johnson, or more to the point who he can hire to win him a championship. Last night Mikhail Prokhoro told the press that if P.J. Carlesimo, the nexts current coach, does a good job and the team likes him, he can stay. Also following that last statement was what Prokhoro said coach Carlesimo's task was. That task was to win the championship, the only thing Prokhoro, wants at the moment. Hopefully this will happen and us New Yorkers can be proud holders of the cup, but until then this is NBA league news bringing you the latest news.
