This is a great resource for science and social studies classes.  I experimented with the street view of the coral reef and it was amazing!  I think ESL/EFL teachers can get a lot of use of these pages for visuals and research of thematic units in other content areas.

I like the idea of this map because it allows for the comparison of logged forest to preserved forest. Allowing for facts not rumored amount of trees producing air, i would really like to see a map of alaska..

Some of the charts and maps do relate to medical issues, such as incidence of influenza, new infectious disease outbreaks, mortality from automobile accidents.  A useful resource to keep in mind.
