An international study says one can cultivate feelings of compassion through meditation. Experts say it's the need of the hour

A recent study by researchers at the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds — at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Waisman Center — claimed that one can develop feelings of compassion through Buddhist meditation. Can compassion really be cultivated? Psychologists and psychiatrists raise the nature-versus-nurture debate, saying it can be evoked, but is situational.
