Terrance H BoothSr's insight:

We see many Tribes in Agriculture but on grocery store shelves we do not see any Native labels.  Some grocery stores have "Ethnic Food" section and on those shelves we see no Native Food labels.  Same with seafood industry we have several Native companies; but, again no Native Seafood labels in any store.  We have buyers for our raw products and produce who turn around and value-add and make several times over in earnings from what we sold to them.  Change it have have complete control over our raw products.

57 California Tribes Team Up to Develop Biofuels

57 California Tribes Team Up to Develop Biofuels | Native American Funding Sources | Scoop.it
The Council of Energy Resource Tribes (CERT), a group of 57 Native American tribes, recently announced its agreement with BioJet and Tartoosh Environmental to develop bioenergy and biofuels projects on tribal lands in California.
Terrance H BoothSr's insight:

America will need 70% more electricity by year 2016 and every tribe has biomass, solar, wind and water that can be converted into alternative energy establishing Tribal Energy Parks to sell energy to utility companies.  If 57 Californiat Tribes can get together imagine if all the tribes got together to create alternative energy projects. America is dragging its feet on alternative energy and Tribes can become the Alternative Energy Suppliers of America.

I just wish it were 57 California Tribes (it's really 57 Tribes - nationwide). I'm so interested in biomass energy production for our tribal lands, in California.

Terrance H BoothSr's insight:

There are several Natives into agriculture but you go to the Ethnic Food Section of grocery store you see no Native Labels of our food grown.  There are several Natives into fisheries but again you see no labels by any Native groups on any seafood products.  There are several Natives selling forest products yet one does not know that some wood products comes from Native Lands.  To prosper we need to control all of our natural resources instead of selling it to others who reap great profits off of our raw products.
