Black friend of Ashley Cole charged with pack attack murder of white teenager
A black business associate of footballer Ashley Cole was this week charged with the murder of an 18-year-old white man.
Christopher Nathaniel, 40, was part of a pack of nine men charged with murder and conspiracy to commit GBH over the fatal stabbing of Danny O’Shea.
The teenager was knifed in the neck after being chased down the street by a mob in Canning Town, East London, last December.
Nathaniel brokered a deal last year allowing Ashley **‘I hate England and the f***ing people’ Cole to open a branch of US rapper Jay-Z’s 40/40 restaurant and bar chain.
Ironically, the ‘businessman’ was also involved in anti-knife crime causes, and had meetings with former PMs Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
He was a director of Man United player Rio Ferdinand’s Live The Dream foundation.
He has also represented Usain Bolt and Cole’s Chelsea teammate John Terry.
The other defendants are Paul Boadi, from Docklands, east London; David Hylton, 47, from Holborn, central London; Andrew Johnson, 35, Paul Johnson, 33, and O'Neil Wareham, 29, all from Harrow, north west London; Ferron Perue, 23, from Birmingham; Kevin Richards, 32, from Harlesden, north London; and Nugent Rowe, 29, from Pinner, Middlesex.
They are all due to appear at the Old Bailey on September 25 for a plea and case management hearing.
All nine men were remanded in custody until their next court appearance.
