Paige durand's curator insight, March 13, 2014 11:39 AM

This is really interesting for someone who is transitioning from a native speaker to speaking, reading and writing English.  There are 7 different ways to improve their English and things people who already speak English may take for granted. One of the tips is as easy to just watch television and see how the people interact. There are other simple methods like thinking in English and trying to speak in only English. I think the problem may be about this paper is that its trying to convert the native speakers into only speaking English. That's what i got from it since it was very repetitive about only doing things in English.

Christopher Chao's curator insight, March 13, 2014 2:26 PM

Social media is very key to helping people learn how to have better english. What is this sentence I just read in the article. If anything social media and the internet is what makes the english language go down in flames and burn. Also I do wish our phones had a correct english term because I just text out my thoughts now but I dont check how bad it actually was.

Sharena Hamilton's curator insight, April 3, 2014 2:28 PM

This article is useful it helps improve your writing skills, tell you to write down your thoughts and be creative . Just by reading  helps  you improve your writing because you get to learn new words and then you can even use those in your writing.
