4 Content Assets To Engage Prospects At Any Stage In The Buying Cycle

4 Content Assets To Engage Prospects At Any Stage In The Buying Cycle | My Brand | Scoop.it

Excerpted from article:

"One of the most important aspects of increasing online conversions (particularly for B2B focused sites) is speaking to prospects at all stages in the buying cycle.

Here are four proven content assets and incentives to reach business buyers at all stages in their purchasing process.

1. White Papers & Webinars:

They are great for B2B prospects at the very beginning of their buying cycle. Prospects at this stage know they have a problem and are trying to figure out the best way to fix it. They are in research mode.

Done correctly, White Papers and Webinars will provide helpful information, answer the prospects questions and position your company as a thought leader in your field.

2. Case Studies:

They are an excellent way to bridge the gap between business buyers engaged in general research and those who are looking for a specific solution.

Case studies have the unique opportunity of doing both.

3. Assessments & Audits:

They should be used for B2B prospects who are beyond the initial research stage and have already determined that they need to make a change or need help. These assets are customized to specifically address a prospect’s particular situation.

4. Demos & Free Trials:

They are a great way to overcome any of the last reservation about commitment or unknowns. The prospect has a chance to test the waters, experience first-hand how your products or services help them."

7 Tips To Drive More Traffic To Your Blog With Social Sharing | Social Media Examiner

7 Tips To Drive More Traffic To Your Blog With Social Sharing | Social Media Examiner | My Brand | Scoop.it

How to make your content more shareable and drive traffic to your blog.

Excerpted from article:

#1: Identify Your Most Popular Posts and Keywords:

Look at your top content and keywords in Google Analytics. If you’re using a social sharing plugin like Shareaholic or Digg Digg, you may be able to get some free analytics on your most popular content that can help you learn what your audience wants.

#2: Track and Leverage Trends:

Know what is top-of-mind for readers.

Here are some free tools that will make your listening efforts more efficient:

- LinkedIn Today;

- Trendsbuzz;

- Know Your Meme;

- Google Insights;

- Hashtags;

- Topsy.

Once you’ve identified the conversations that are happening, you should think of a way to use that information for a shareable blog post.

#3: Think “Why Would People Share This?”:

Only commit to your blogging ideas that show the promise of virality, and cut or tweak the ones that end up on the calendar “just because.” Don’t create noise, create value.

#4: Make the Most of Your Headline:

Think about the 4 U’s that Copyblogger teaches us about great subject lines and headlines:

***Useful: Why is the blog post valuable?
***Ultra-specific: What can I expect to learn from the blog post?
***Unique: Why is this blog post compelling and unique?
***Urgent: Why should I read this NOW?

#5: Test Different Kinds of Promotion:

But in order to do this effectively, you’ve got to consider what visuals will go along with your social media promotion as you are creating the content.

#6: Optimize Your Content for Shareability:

You need to familiarize yourself with the anatomy of a social share.

Pay attention to the 3 highlight elements—the featured image, the page title and the meta description.

WordPress bloggers can install the All in One SEO plugin so that these components are in one easy-to-find place.

#7: Have Something Waiting for New Readers:

Include calls to action to subscribe to future posts. Link to previous content in your posts to keep readers engaged in your blog. Use recommended content widgets to increase your time on site and drive readers to related content and other popular posts.

Collect Any Type of Web Content Into Visual Collections with the New Bundlr

Collect Any Type of Web Content Into Visual Collections with the New Bundlr | My Brand | Scoop.it

From Journalism.co.uk: "The content curation website Bundlr has just announced a new version of its service which allows for embedding of content from a wide range of sources.

By partnering with Embedly the site now supports over 200 sources of content, including Storify, Pinterest and Amazon, for users to add to their bundles.

Embedly is the service that the new version of Twitter uses to embed photographs and articles in your Twitter stream and is used by a host of other sites such as Reddit and Bitly and comes as a WordPress plugin.

While Bundlr was originally seen as an alternative to sites like Storify, which can be used to create stories from curated links and content, Bundlr's focus is now on creating a top-level resource for curated content around a story or topic."
