La Songwriters Association of Canada et diverses associtations aux objectifs similaires, ont profité du World Creators Summit de Washington pour présenter les 5 prinicipes de la musique équitable. La notion de transparence dans la reddition des comptes (principe 2) repose, on le sait, sur un écosystème de métadonnées.

 

We believe transparency for music creators will again rest on proper metadata rules and standards!

It is generally acknowledged that information regarding musical rights and works can be difficult to obtain, something which the Global Repertoire Database initiative was hoping to fix, before crashing and burning in 2014.
