Logen Lin's insight:

Which one is the most important thing for a musician? Talent or hard-working? I would say without each other, neither of them would be important any more. Actually not only for game music, music for Ads, movies, background and so on, but this source is really good to show how to make a good game music.

5 iPad Apps For Producing Quality Music - hypebot | Music Producing | Scoop.it

Logen Lin's insight:

Nowadays, producing music is really a easy job. When do I say so it is becasue of those apps on Ipad show up. As the technology of electronic musical instruments developed, the quality of the music produced by those pads could be really good, either the professional musicians or some people stopped once because the difficulty of using protools or logic pro could go with that. Make a beat on the plane, record a piece of vocal track on the subway, more possibilities are coming to us. But as the change happend, as a person who wants to be a professional musician, we are facing more challenge than ever before.

Interview | Hans Zimmer is scoring The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Trailer in a "funky way." | Buzz Feed

Interview | Hans Zimmer is scoring The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Trailer in a "funky way." | Buzz Feed | Music Producing | Scoop.it
From The Holiday to Inception , Man of Steel to 12 Years a Slave , how Hans Zimmer's gorgeous studio has helped him make memorable music for some of Hollywood's most popular films.

Via Christopher Coleman
Logen Lin's insight:

Pros: Mr. Hans Zimmer wants to make the music for the trailer of Amazing Spider-man 2 in a "funky way", unlike the pieces of music he made before, something like epic orchestration or atmosphere style, he wants to mix the funk with hollywood superhero movie, for himself it is a great step and for the movie I am sure it would be more impressive by the push of Zimmer's funky music.

Cons: As a old-fashioned composer, I refer to compose one the paper, a blank score paper rather than compose in machine, although we are in the industry of music arts, but I would believe the greatest work must be created on the paper.

Nowadays, the music for hollywood movies are really improved a lot, musicians found the way to make it more powerful and effective, to deliver the imspiration of the movie to the audiences and make it stronger. But I still believe composing on the paper could bring you the best work.

Logen Lin's insight:

I would believe that less and less people like listening to smyphony and more, actually most people of some countries may have never listened to classical music. But classical music is really awesome, and I am glad to see this news because classical composers could rise again.

Logen Lin's insight:

Mr. Yakudo was commissioned to make the music for the game Warframe. Through watching the video of it, I could see the music was composed in Epic style, just like a lot of games about war. And it is always useful for those game as the players would feel really excited about the game with the music. But we really need to think about it, how to improve it, because we cannot compose those in this style forever. Maybe Electronic mixed with rock n roll would take place someday.
