Me being a Singer and Songwriter its important for me to find the perfect Music Producer for me as an artist so thats why I picked this article. It basically gives you 3 steps on what you need to do in order to find there right person, Knowing what you want, Getting along well, and three Doing your homework (meaning reaserching about the producer you want and what your looking for). It basically gives you the tools for you to find a producer who will let you create your own sound and not theres and one that understands what you trying to pursue.

Pros:

This article states that having Good Communication with your producer is a huge part of finding a good producer,

Getting along is extremely important, but make sure you never lose focus. You are not spending time with a friend, you are working together and will need to make an end product.

This article seriously provided me with amazing information because I've had problems with producers before not working with me on what my goals and what i wanted to sound like and they tried to put their influences on me. So it provided me with some tools that i took to the heart

Cons:

The only downside to this article is that i wish it was more informational.

Lexi Gatling's curator insight, February 16, 2014 10:27 PM

I picked this article  because being an artist of course or anything else you do and want to be successful at it you have to learn how to market yourself/ or your brand. So i picked this article to possibly help  give me some ideas on what to do and look for. In this article Russell Wallach of Live Nation explains how music is content, social, and data and lays out some guidelines for connecting with fans through music, and with the world being so digital and connected its fairly easy to do so. Consumers have become more discerning and more skilled at controlling and curating the media they consume so this article gives 4 ways to appeal to the consumers to get your work out there, Music is both content and media, Music is social, Music drives loyalty,  and Music is data.

Pros:

Brands cannot do just one program, sponsor just one tour and expect to deliver “brand fans” via music. If you want to create a long-term bond with music fans, you need to make a commitment for the long haul to retain authenticity. It takes handwork and determination to get what you want.

Converse Rubber Tracks is a grassroots program that provides unsigned bands with free recording studio time and sound engineer services. Converse then retains limited rights to use the songs on its website and social media channels. Converse is trying to be a part of the fabric of young artist discovery while delivering PR, impressions, and engagements through music.

Article show that Music is already attractive but when you at social media to the mix it creates an door for more rating and more publicity.

Cons:

I didn't find anything wrong as far as cons in this article everything to me was very helpful.
