"At the height of the ringtone craze in 2007, mobile music was one of the few rays of sunlight in an otherwise gloomy landscape for the music industry. Then the ringtone market started tanking and that ray of hope seemed to fade.
But despite the vertiginous decline in mobile music sales reported by official music-industry stats, mobile music revenues are growing and will be worth US$12 billion by 2016, according to Informa Telecoms & Media’s latest forecasts."
