"That's according to preliminary stats shared this morning by StreetPulse, which tracks US-based indie music retailers. The early figures are specifically for 'Black Friday,' the shopping snarl that traditionally ensues after turkey day. "Independent retail music sales were up 12.59 percent for Black Friday," StreetPulse CEO John Weston told Digital Music News, while promising more concrete, complete stats over the next day or so."
