Roberto Gonzáles Goyri is an excellent representation of the Guatemalan art. His pieces have been shown in Miami, New York, Nicaragua, México and other countries. His art pieces are in public parks and buidings around Guatemala. He dedicate his life to the arts in his natal country and to represent the Guatemalan culture internationally.

Gonzáles Goyri was born in Guatemala in 1924. He studied art in Guatemala and New York. His artistic collection is made out of public murals, paintings and sculptures.

This Costa Rican artist find inspiration in the landscape, the moon and the bull, one of the country folk element. Even though he was born in Costa Rica, his ancesters came from china and he had find throughout his art, paint and sculpture a way of merge both cultures. His art pieces are bursting in color and detail.

Cañas is an important artis to me not just because he is considerer the most important artist from El Salvador, but also because he was related to my uncle. Through him, I learn about the art and life of Cañas, his subrealistic paints and sucessful artistic life. I personally find his collection delicate, thoughtful and definitely worth it to see it.

His international awards include the Gran Premio Iberoamericano "Cristobal Colón," presented in Madrid, Spain. Elmar Rojas is one of Latin America's most important artists, he also is renowned as great communicator of culture.

Since I was very young I was captivated by Rojas' artwork. His paintings represent mystic and dark characters that honestly intrigued me. He uses vibrant variety of colors that I consider an important characteristic of most of Central American artist. One of his faces that I like the most is the Scarecrow Collection.

Lola Fernández was born in 1926 in Colombia and move to Costa Rica a few years later to grow up and study there. Her artistic career has taking her to places like Europe, other Latinamerican countries and United States. Her painting is a delicate abstraction that tells a story. Personally, Fernández is one of my favorites visual artist from Costa Rica.

Leda Astorga is a Costa Rican Artist born in in San José in 1957. Her colorful sculptures are part of the most important galleries in Costa Rica. Traditionally, Astorga makes her work with clay, putty and wood from a caricature perspective.

Leda Astorga is today an outstanding artists in Costa Rica who represents humanity through her sculpture in a sarcastic way. She creates her characters with concrete or marble and paint them with acrylics. Although most of her career has been in Costa Rica, her pieces are well value and had been exhibit though out the country.

Recinos is an arquitect that made history in Guatemala. His designs include, El Centro Cultural Miguel Angel Asturias known as  National Theather. The National Library Mural, The International Airport Mural and many more pieces around the country. Recino also created beautiful paintings and left an important legacy of culture through out Guatemala.

Pedro Arrieta was a contemporary artist who past away in 2004. His art pieces are colorful an graphic influenced. His instalations and art pieces stand out for the materials he used and the social message behind them. In this article by the local news paper La Nacion (2013), you can find a good display of his pieces through a video and a meaningful memories of his life.

He was born in 1954 in the city of Heredia, and studied sculpture in Carrara and Florence, Italy. His art is delicade and bold at the same time. His pieces are part of public domain as parks through out San José City.

Stanley has a comic and folkloric way of express his own world, almost as if he lives between a dream and a reality. I specially like how colorful his pieces can be and how much detail he can add. Although not all of his pieces are child friendly, his collection about parks and circus reminde me illustration books.

Fiat Panic is an instalation created by Lucía Madriz, a Costa Rican artist, in the 55th Venice Biennale. Her piece is made out of pre-treated grains, basic ingredients from Latin-America diet. It is important to point out this kind of artwork that represents the contemporary face of Central America internationally.

Museum the Arte Costarricense use to be the first International Airport in Costa Rica, known as La Sabana Airport in 1940, now this neocolonial style building is one of the most important galleries in the country. Since 1978, here are displayed the Costa Rica history of art and the views from the first artist in my country.

Adrián Gómez is one of the most importnat artist today in Costa Rica. His collection Caribe won every heart in Costa Rica. His pieces are very well sold and had become the "Romero Britto" from my country. His pieces had turn into wonderful artistic products to sell. I personally like his collection, "Espacios de Juego" or "Play Spaces" which easily carry you to the freedom of your owns childhood.
