JerrySwiatek.com: Collecting student work using Dropbox | Multiliteracies | Scoop.it

Most of us have heard of DropBox, the great service that gives you 2 GB of free storage space in the “cloud.” If you do not already have a DropBox account, you can easily sign up for one HERE. eLearning Learning

eLearning Learning | Multiliteracies | Scoop.it

eLearning Learning Weekly looks like an interesting aggregation or curation, not sure which, but I discovered it when an update appeared in my gmail, I checked out the link, and when creating a filter for it discovered I'd already received a dozen emails about previous issues.  The Google filter tools lets you see at a glance when 'someone' unfamiliar contacts you, whether they've contacted you before, and if you wish, you can see everything they've sent you in a click or two (I'm sure Google will fix the second click :-)

The 60-Second Guide To Texting In The Classroom | Edudemic | Multiliteracies | Scoop.it

In even fewer than 60 seconds:

Although the idea of permitting students to text in class may appear problematic at first, with the appropriate supports, teachers can take advantage of the technology and, in turn, create more meaningful and engaging learning experiences. Here are a few examples as to how teachers can utilize text message technology in their classrooms and increase student engagement and content mastery:

The Best Ways ESL/EFL/ELL Teachers Can Develop Personal Learning Networks | Larry Ferlazzo’s Websites of the Day… | Multiliteracies | Scoop.it

This is a nice post on PLNs by Larry Ferlazzo.  This part isn't entirely accurate but catches the spirit "Learning With Computers is an exceptional group of ESL/EFL teachers from around the world that was begun by Gladys Baya. It’s part of Webheads In Action, which has helped start several similar collaborations. Learning With Computers has a very helpful Wiki and an equally helpful, and active, listserv. Another great Webheads group and listserv is called evonline."
