Over the last 1,000 years, Zen teachers have created collections of stories to inspire, guide and ultimately awaken practitioners. The earliest of these were known as "lamp" collections because they illuminated the great way.

Friday Nov. 15......mini-retreat (7-10pm) Sunday Nov. 17....ten-year anniversary celebration at morning service Thursday Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving Day)...no meditation sitting Friday Dec. 6.......Buddha's Enlightenment sitting (8pm - 4am) Sunday Dec. 8.....Introduction to Buddhism and meditation class (11:30am-4pm) Monday Dec. 16...full moon chanting (7-8pm) Friday Dec. 20..... no mini-retreat Tuesday Dec. 31..New Year's Eve service (7-8:30pm) All other Sunday services and Thursday sittings will be held as normally done.
