Free Technology for Teachers: ThingLink Launches a Free iPad App

Free Technology for Teachers: ThingLink Launches a Free iPad App | Mr.L's Curated iPad App Reviews | Scoop.it

"ThingLink  http://thinglink.com/ is one of my favorite tools that I've reviewed on Free Technology for Teachers. The free service allows you to make any image interactive by adding digital pinmarks to it. Those pinmarks can include text, links, videos that are revealed when some touches those pinmarks while viewing your shared images. The service previously worked in your iPad's web browser, but now this great service is now available as a free iPad app http://ow.ly/luKR0  too."

This is truly a great tool in my estimation, but theory and reality also collide with technology. If you are not 1:1 then the potential of the app is not getting used in the best way that it can.
Peter Pappas's comment, July 5, 2013 3:22 PM
Good point Denise. I'm hoping it's something school will grow into over time.

Animation lesson – How to animate | iPad Art Room

Animation lesson – How to animate | iPad Art Room | Mr.L's Curated iPad App Reviews | Scoop.it

"

When I began teaching Visual Art, animation was a subject that was taught by a technology teacher at our school – it was pretty specialised stuff. The intricacies of using the massive animation suites and high-end programs, combined with the fact that our art rooms didn’t even have computer access for our students, meant that the division between art and digital technology was substantial. What a change…

Now, animation is truly accessible for our art students with iPads. The variety of animation apps and the ease of use makes them suitable for teaching and learning cross a whole variety of year levels.  Here’s some ‘stuff for starters’."
