Tiger Woods is PGA Tour's first $100 million man | Motivational Leadership | Scoop.it
Via Palm Beach Post: Tiger Woods has become the first $100 million man on the PGA Tour. Woods finished third in the Deutsche Bank Championship on Monday to earn $544,000 and push his career total to $100,350,700. Next on the list is Phil Mickelson — more than $30 million behind at $66,805,498 after finishing fourth at the TPC Boston. Woods has won 74 tournaments, second all-time, including 38 times with a first prize of $1 million or more. His winnings come out to an average of $362,276.89 for each of his 277 career starts. But it's not just good timing: Prize money skyrocketed on the PGA Tour after Woods went pro and brought huge crowds and television audiences to the sport... (click pic to continue reading)

Hypnotic language is being used on us on a daily basis, especially in marketing and advertising. Do you know when it is being used on you?

This is an excellent article explaining the top 3 hypnotic words in the English language. Not only does the author share them with you, but he also explains why they are hypnotic, and he also gives you great examples on how to use them.

It is very apparent to me that the author has great knowledge of hypnosis,  especially of conversational or covert hypnosis.

Golf Destinations : America's Top 50 Courses For Women

Golf Destinations : America's Top 50 Courses For Women | Motivational Leadership | Scoop.it
Posted by Susan Comolli Davis - Photo Gasparilla Inn & Club Courtesy - July 11, 2013"It's great to walk into a golf shop and be greeted by a welcoming staff and a sea of stylish women's apparel and gear. But for a course to be Top-50 material, we need to see great programs for women, flexible playing options (nine-hole loops, or even shorter) and a progressive-design philosophy that treats women golfers as more than an afterthought. Our panel of 100-plus women who evaluate courses for this ranking pay special attention to tee options and design. Each layout on our Top 50 has at least one set of tees less than 5,300 yards, two sets with Slope and Course Ratings for women, and minimal or no forced carries from the forward tees. The ideal layout challenges long hitters yet delivers a fun round for average players. Quality course conditions are important, too, and it's a plus to have lots of amenities. This year we welcome eight newcomers. It's not that we don't love the others, but more and more courses are embracing the "tee it forward" and "time for nine" zeitgeist. As they've added shorter tees (typically about 4,700 yards), the ones with forward tees closer to 5,300 yards aren't as appealing.ENJOY YOUR STAYThe "we want you here" attitude is a big plus, so it's great to see courses hosting tournaments for women. Bandon Dunes Golf Resort appeals to women with its Ladies Links Championship, a 36-hole event that includes an awards dinner, breakfast and a massage. The inaugural event, played in May, had 40 participants. Alabama's Lakewood Golf Club hosts the two-day Grand Southern Invitational Ladies Golf Tournament every fall, attracting about 120 players. New to Michigan's Treetops Resort is a 27-hole Couples Tournament, and a women's golf festival in August.

This great post is about Leadership, not Thought Leadership.

I however decided to curate it here because it highlights an important and often underestimated concept: values that contribute to defining a leader, but unseen.

Building thought leadership is about demonstrating, showing, proving - it's very much outbound. Interesting to consider leadership-building actions that are unseen. How to you reconcile the market necessity of being seen, and these behind the scene values?

In any case, I concur: I recognize leadership in people who forgive, don't seek credit and let other have ideas. Although of course, this is far from sufficient...
