Jigsaw: Assembly for 8 10 year olds

"This is an assembly from CEOPs Thinkuknow education programme that helps children to understand what constitutes personal information."

Great 8 1/2 min video addressing internet safety for kids (geared toward 8-10 year olds) from the UK's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre.  Nicely done!

Library Makers: a new project resource! | Library as Incubator Project

Library Makers: a new project resource! | Library as Incubator Project | More TechBits | Scoop.it
librarykerri's insight:

2 awesome resources, all rolled up into one.

Library as Incubator Project - "The mission of the Library as Incubator Project is to promote and facilitate creative collaboration between libraries and artists of all types, and to advocate for libraries as incubators of the arts."  The site highlights tons of fascinating things being done in or related to libraries!

Library Makers - (as reviewed in this Library as Incubator post) "is somewhere between a how-to craft book and a web magazine – basically a solid inventory of craft and art projects that work well in a library – the materials are things that most library craft supply rooms have already, or are easily obtainable."

From Westport Public Library: "The Library’s Maker Faire in April was so successful that we decided to keep the Maker mindset going. Builder and designer Joe Schott will be building a Maker Shed in The Great Hall, a place where people can come together to create and make innovative projects. The first will be two 15-foot wooden airplanes, which will be displayed after they’re completed. Stay tuned for more information about what will be happening in the Maker Shed"
