In its original version, this book was one of the first Moodle books around, and I devoured it cover to cover in the same way I used to read page by page my Harraps French-English/English-French dictionaries as a teenager.
“Moodle 2 for Teaching 4-9 Year Olds is written by Nick Freear who deserves big respect for his perseverance: he began writing the book some time ago for Moodle 1.9 and then was asked half way through to start again and do it for 2.0 instead -so he did What he has done though, and is keen to point out at the start of Chapter 1, is that the activities in the book will work for both versions and there are differentiated instructions for 1.9 and 2.0. So actually the book could be called Moodle 1.9 AND Moodle 2 for Teaching 4-9 Year Olds”

"Earlier this summer I finally finished the new Moodle question engine, which was released as part of Moodle 2.1. As you might expect with such a large change, a number of minor bugs were not spotted until after the release, but I (and others) have fixed quite a lot of them, and we will continue to fix more. I want to say "thank you" to everyone who has taken the time to report the problems they encountered."
The open source learning management system Moodle has a new mobile companion. Developers at Moodle HQ have released a free app for iOS designed to work with Moodle 2.1 or later. Apps for additional mobile platforms are planned.
