Free SCORM eLearning Authoring for Diagrams and Picture Dictionary

Free SCORM eLearning Authoring for Diagrams and Picture Dictionary | Moodle and Mahara | Scoop.it

This is amazing AND free. Download the software. Parapal Hotspots allows you to take any jpeg image and add interactive regions so students can learn new terms and then test themselves.

SCORM compliant so works brilliantly in Moodle for self marking. This is a brilliant tool and so incredibly simple.

How can it be free!

Corinne Owen's curator insight, March 25, 2014 1:03 AM

This program is brilliant in its simplicity. It allows the user to take any jpeg image and add interactive regions for labels and annotations.

From labelling the structure of the Earth to explaining the

water cycle, diagrams make for great learning in the diverse classroom. The use of visuals as a teaching and learning strategy supports both student comprehension, retention and promotes communication.

Using Styles in Moodle Labels (Grid Format)

Using Styles in Moodle Labels (Grid Format) | Moodle and Mahara | Scoop.it
gideonwilliams's insight:

For years I just clicked on a label and did not bother with the Styles feature - preferring to alter the paragaph style and change fonts and sizes.

Using the Grid format makes it very difficult to carry on and get a clear layout. Nothing mind boggling but simply changed to use Heading1 for titles and Heading2 for subtitles with some changes to font and colours. When you use these styles then you no longer need to worry about the <p> tag.

BIG improvement.

Drag and drop Grouping labels quiz

Drag and drop Grouping labels quiz | Moodle and Mahara | Scoop.it

A very rushed video that shows how I made a drag and drop labels quiz activity for Science.

In the Chemical Reactions unit for soluble and insoluble, they had a worksheet that students cut labels out of to stick into a table.

I have tried to replicate this using the Drag and Drop markers feature in Moodle. This is part of a series of "add-ons" (maybe not in 2.3) from the OU.
