You Are Not Alone: Parents Discuss Dyslexia Advocacy - Learning Ally

You Are Not Alone: Parents Discuss Dyslexia Advocacy - Learning Ally | Moms of Dyslexic Learners | Scoop.it
Parents across the nation joined Learning Ally and experienced moms from the Decoding Dyslexia movement to discuss the power of parental advocacy.
Maralee McKee's insight:

Mom, you're not alone. There are a lot of us out in the world with dyslexic learners who are trying to not only advocate for them, but to take action ourselves in researching and finding the best tools and systems/curriculums available to help our dyslexic learner overcome his or her unique learning struggles. vBookz PDF Voice Reader Includes New Font For People - Cult of Mac | Moms of Dyslexic Learners | Scoop.it
Dyslexia is a disability that likely affects 70 - 80 percent of people with poor reading skills, with one in five students having a language-based disabili.
Maralee McKee's insight:

A PDF and book reader app that has added a font that's (supposedly) easier for dyslexic learners to read because it better differentiates between similar letters such as "i" and "l." For $4.99 it seems like a great bargain even if it helps just a bit.
