(AR) (EN (PDF) - Focusing on Arabic Lexical Meaning / اﻟﺗرﻛﯾز ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﻌﺎﻧﻲ اﻟﻣﻔردات اﻟﻌرﺑﯾﺔ | Matti Phillips Khoshaba

"This book helps students think deeply about the various meanings of words or phrases in context. Focusing on the forms of the language phrases, expressions, collocations, and idioms in usage actually leads to short term learning. Repeating this practice over and over will gradually build up schemata on how an Arabic word or words behave in carrying various meanings in different contexts. "

Although well known to most Google Drive and App users, these skills are important if teachers and students are going to manage their files properly.

They include: managing folders and installing Google Apps to Chrome.

I have had students play this game on Cartesian planes on paper but Alice Keeler has converted into a Google Slides game.

If students have devices, this would be so much easier to set up and play.   Looking forward to trying it with my students.

The Padagogy Wheel - It’s Not About The Apps, It’s About The Pedagogy -

The Padagogy Wheel - It’s Not About The Apps, It’s About The Pedagogy - | Modersmål | Scoop.it
The Padagogy Wheel is designed to help educators think – systematically, coherently, and with a view to long term, big-picture outcomes – about how they use mobile apps in their teaching. The Padagogy Wheel is all about mindsets; it’s a way of thinking about digital-age education that meshes together concerns about mobile app features, learning transformation, motivation, cognitive development and long-term learning objectives.

The Padagogy Wheel, though, is not rocket science. It is an everyday device that can be readily used by everyday teachers; it can be applied to everything from curriculum planning and development, to writing learning objectives and designing centered activities. The idea is for the users to respond to the challenges that the Wheel presents for their teaching practices, and to ask themselves the tough questions about their choices and methods.

Free Technology for Teachers: How to Create a Multiple Part Test in Google Forms

Free Technology for Teachers: How to Create a Multiple Part Test in Google Forms | Modersmål | Scoop.it

My suggestion is to break-up long tests into multiple Google Forms. At the end of each Form include a link to the next Form in the series. For example, instead of giving one twenty question Form to students I might give them two Forms containing ten questions each. In the video embedded below I demonstrate how to do this.
