Most, if not all, kids are cute. If you however think your child is extra gorgeous, why not get them into modeling? If you have already been curious about how you can get your kid into a photo shoot and right in front of the camera, here are a few steps that will help you get there.
First things first, get the picture that will make your kid the cutest star. You will need to send two to three colored snaps of your kid to a modeling agency. You need to take head-only and full-body photos. It doesn’t have to be a professional shot and you don’t have to get your kid into a spectacular costume. Modeling agencies are hardly after a specific look and do not set a standard for “gorgeousness”. So do not emphasize on making it perfect.
Once have the picture, you can identify the relevant modeling agencies that you can send the photos to. You can look for recommendations from people who have a child in an agency, or carry out research on the Internet. Be careful not to fall victim to a scam though. You can check your local Better Business Bureau to be sure that you are dealing with a genuine agent or agency. Once you have noted a reputable agency, you can send the pictures indicating your child’s name (and your name), age, clothing size, eye and hair color and address.
If the agency feels your child has potential, they will make contact to sign you up and prepare you for the next step, which is casting. Prepare your child for the auditions. Keep phoning the agency to find out the details of potential modeling jobs. Note the date, time, place, travel details and possible wardrobe requirements. Also enquire about casting fees. Once a casting session, you will hear back whether your kid has been shortlisted or given a part.
