ParadigmGallery's curator insight, March 16, 3:21 PM

We visited an IKEA in Orlando a few days ago and after not setting foot in one for quite a while I was dismayed by the experience. As a person who used IKEA for a kitchen makeover, and was quite impressed, this recent trip was very disappointing. The "furniture fashion", colorways, and overall store appearance was a giant bit of chaos and confusion. having said all that I will always love concept and vintage design IKEA.

These hand-dyed, hand-woven works retain the intrinsic value instilled through laborious production, but her subject matter is pure Instagram – in fact many of the source photos for this collection originated on that site, as well as Tumblr, Facebook, and her own phone.
