This week has revealed several interesting announcements in the realm of loyalty and promotions in the mobile industry. These recent announcements suggest that industry players (Vodafone, Apple, ...) are looking to adopt loyalty and promotions as a means to attack the mobile payment market in developed countries where  consumer reaction has so far been quite mild in the move from credit card to mobile phone.
