While there is growing usage and interest in pay per call, advertising providers are still ironing out how they position and sell it to local advertisers unfamiliar with the model. Here’s how to ease local advertisers concerns about pay-per-call.

 

Mobile calls generate longer call durations than any other media at an average of 3.5 minutes/call. This is followed by Internet Yellow Pages at 2.7 mins/call and paid search at 2.2 mins/call. The average call duration across media increased 20.1 percent from Q1 2011 to Q1 2012, thanks to advertising providers’ ability to refine their programs and optimize for higher quality calls.

Pay Per Call leads when handled appropriately are profit makers. For any business, especially automotive, the consumer is in the critical 3rd segment of the purchase cycle. At this point they know they are going to buy and what they desire, now they are in search of a professional to assist them. Sales professionals desire inbound calls over "Cold Calling" knowing they already have a motivated prospect reaching out for assitance.

As one of several Americans affected by the lagging economy, 31-year-old Wedgefield native Derek Gamble has found a way to re-invent himself as an entrepreneur, while offering something different in Sumter.

 

Kelley calls her son very resourceful and a "jack of all trades." In addition to being a computer technician, Gamble also received his beauty license in 2005-06 from Sumter Beauty College.


"Derek is very well educated and is a good entrepreneur," Kelley said. "He has a good head on his shoulder, and I'm very proud of what he has accomplished in life. The reason why I'm working with Derek with the mobile hot dog vending is because I believe in him and we believe this can be successful."
