"Lo que ahora está pasando es que hay cada vez más gente que no trabaja así. Trabaja en su casa, o trabaja en horarios diferentes y no conectados. No se necesita que todos lleguen exactamente al mismo tiempo.

 

Entonces lo que tenemos son escuelas que fueron diseñadas de forma deliberada para proporcionar una fuerza de trabajo para una economía de la era industrial. Y lo hicieron muy bien, pero ya no es la clase de economía que tenemos. Por lo tanto el sistema entero está obsoleto.

 

Estábamos esperando a que Bill Gates dijera algo al respecto. Y finalmente, hace 2 años, dijo las palabras correctas. Dijo: ‘No podemos reformar nuestro sistema educativo, debemos reemplazarlo’. Y estaba en lo correcto. Porque el sistema está diseñado, como dije, para preparar a las personas para ayer y no para mañana."

En mi clase ya habíamos concluído con las tareas del día. Era imposible avanzar más, mis alumnos esperaban con ansias volver a sus casas después de pasar 6 horas dentro del "templo del saber". Finalmente se retiraron apenas 5 minutos antes del toque del timbre liberador. La directora al otro día me increpó: "profesor, los alumnos deben retirarse únicamente cuando toque el timbre". Así estamos...
