Moto G.. first impressions

Moto G.. first impressions | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"This week we’ve gotten the opportunity to work with the Moto G, the international off-contract hero phone for Motorola. This device was designed to attract users who no longer want to deal with the payment plans involved in on-contract smartphones both inside the United States and abroad, bringing a build that’s well and above previous standards for low-cost Android handhelds. While each version of the Moto G is essentially the same save the radio connectivity, we’re working with the USA-based off-contract model – the same revealed as ready to roll this month."

Moto X vs Moto G: specifications fight for most budget-friendly

Moto X vs Moto G: specifications fight for most budget-friendly | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"This week the folks at Motorola have pushed the first cross-carrier availability of the customization-included Moto X, and following up rather quick they’ll push a machine called Moto G. This slightly smaller device will be the “budget-friendly” Motorola device expected to have been launched when the Moto X was first teased, and here just before Motorola makes it all official themselves, we’ve got a bit of a comparison chart to make the differences between these devices clear."

Moto X review (video) | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"After months of a constant flow of Moto X rumors, Motorola finally took the red curtains off of it, revealing a pretty slick device that doesn’t need hardware to show what it’s worth. Is it impressive? Absolutely. Does it live up to the hype?"

LG G2 vs Galaxy S 4 vs Moto X.. hero phone war | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"At once the differences between the Moto X, Galaxy S 4, and LG G2 are apparent in the size of their displays. The LG G2 comes in above the rest with a 5.2-inch panel while the Galaxy S 4 works with a 5-inch screen and the Moto X sits in as smallest with 4.7-inches if display. Moto X wrap-up: everything we learned in Motorola's first 24 hours of rebirth | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"It’s been one day since the Moto X was introduced as the rebirth of Motorola: a Google Company. Now it’s time to take a moment and reflect. What did we just see? Motorola Electrify M.. a review

Motorola Electrify M.. a review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"You might call Motorola ELECTRIFY M a cousin of the RAZR M, RAZR HD, and RAZR Maxx HD.

The ELECTRIFY M is a smartphone, intended for more than talking over the airwaves. The 4G LTE service offered with the device at authorized outlets is expected to feed the social media and multimedia addictions of those who check emails, post photos, stream music, find nearby restaurants, and browse Facebook, often all at the same time, from a single device. Is the compact device able to live up to its no-compromise tagline in that respect?"

Motorola DROID RAZR HD.. review

Motorola DROID RAZR HD.. review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"With Verizon’s next in an ever-expanding line of RAZR devices here with the Motorola DROID RAZR HD we’re getting essentially the same experience as we did with the RAZR M, except this time it’s quite a bit larger. With a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display on top of a dual-core processor from Qualcomm, it’s not just the screen we’re impressed with. This device brings on one of the most refined Motorola experiences we’ve seen thus far, matching at least the impression we’ve had with the M, and out-doing it for the large-display-lovers."

Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx HD.. official

Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx HD.. official | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"Nokia wasn’t the only company to showcase new smartphones today, as Motorola also had a New York-based media event that has just ended. Naturally, we’re mostly interested in the latter’s new devices, which were made official today. These are, as expected, the Droid RAZR HD and the Droid RAZR M, but also the unexpected, but-not-totally-unpredictable Droid RAZR Maxx HD, which is basically a version of the Droid RAZR HD with an even bigger battery."

Review: Motorola Razr Maxx

Review: Motorola Razr Maxx | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The Motorola Razr Maxx packs a big battery without sacrificing much sleekness. It's just a shame that it took so long to make its way to Asia. If you're looking for a workhorse smartphone, this is it.

Motorola's Razr Maxx is not be a new handset--instead it builds upon the Razr with a buffed up 3,300mAh battery as well as Ice Cream Sandwich."

It's also the outfit's first handset to ship with Ice Cream Sandwich already installed, and it sweetens the pot with other goodies such as LTE and an 8-megapixel rear camera."

"Today the Motorola follow-up to the Moto X has been made official in the Moto G. This device works with a parred-down collection of specifications compared to the Moto X, bringing a lowered price-tag to match. The Moto G works with a 4.5-inch 720p LCD display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) under the hood, and HSPA+ wireless connectivity. Motorola's DROID Maxx.. review

Motorola's DROID Maxx.. review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"In the DROID Maxx is Motorola’s vision for longest-lasting battery life in a device that’s part of a very close-knit family of smartphones all released in the same generation. There’s a DROID Maxx, a DROID Ultra, a DROID Mini, and the Moto X. These devices deliver essentially the same experience as one another, with only minor differences between each of them. The DROID Maxx provides the most premium experience of the series."

DROID Maxx.. unboxing and hands-on

DROID Maxx.. unboxing and hands-on | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"It’s time to get a look at the largest of three DROID devices released this week by Motorola and Verizon: the DROID Maxx. This device takes on a form that’s remarkably similar to the DROID Ultra, including software and hardware, but brings on a significantly larger battery and slightly different backside casing to differentiate. Here we’ve got essentially the same device as we showed yesterday in our DROID Ultra review, but with a lot longer battery life and a double-down on internal storage."

Motorola Moto X vs. Samsung Galaxy S4

Motorola Moto X vs. Samsung Galaxy S4 | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"Does a smartphone market dominated by Apple and Samsung have room for a third major player? That's what Google-owned Motorola is hoping for, with the new Moto X. The phone is reportedly going to have an insane half-billion dollar marketing budget, but does it have the goods to back that up?"

"Motorola is back, and the Moto X is its coming out party. The culmination of Google’s new hand on the wheel, the “context aware” smartphone promises to step away from the core-chasing that plagues Android today, and instead deliver real usability improvements like entirely voice-activated Google Now, a camera with better low-light performance that doesn’t sacrifice megapixels along the way..."

Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD vs RAZR HD.. hands-on

Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD vs RAZR HD.. hands-on | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"Verizon has been granted a couple more smartphones from the likes of Motorola and Google here with the massive battery-toting DROID RAZR MAXX HD right alongside its near-identical brother the RAZR HD (without so much MAXX). The difference between these two devices is just about as slight as it could possibly get – the MAXX has twice the internal storage (32GB instead of 16) and a giant 3,300mAh battery instead of the 2,530mAh unit the standard HD has. The weight and thickness are absolutely negligible – even when you’ve got them both in your hands it’s difficult to guess which is which, believe it or not."
